Wondering what the best cpu for price is to get

I'm looking to stream and play some games and edit a tiny bit of video, I want an i7 or something that's better than my current i5 4440. It's a LGA 1150 socket and I'm open to getting a new cooler also. I don't want to spend 300$ on an i7 4790k because honesty that's way too much for me, if you have any suggestions, it would be great!

The GTX 1060 has a system requirement of 400 watts and a single 6-pin PCIE power cable. You should be good with that power supply for your upgrade.

And you can upgrade it in the future.

The most cost effective CPU is going to be a Ryzen. But with a processor ,DDR4 RAM, and a motherboard you are in the neighborhood of $550 - $650.

If you don't want to change anything, 4790 used or out of a refurb machine.

Otherwise, the $170 R7 1700 is the performance to value winner right now.

I'm confused. You said that you wanted an I7, but you don't want to spend $300.

The processors for LGA 1150 are getting pretty thin (they have been discontinued for quite a while). There are still some new processor and there are still used ones too.

So what exactly are you asking?

I want to buy used, I don't believe my parents would want to spend 300$ on a processor for my pc, but I also want the best processor that's under 300$ that is better than my i5 4440, I know, it's really specific but that's what I'm working with, thank you for the constant replies btw.

The link to NEWEGG above does have used processors. Otherwise you do a search on google for specific processors. The next processor own from the i7 4790K would be the I7- 4770K and then I5-4690K.

In terms of non K processors, there is the I7-4790, I7-4770, and I5-4670.

All of those processors would be an improvement over the I5-4440. I would look at the used I7-4790 as a replacement.

This one is $284 new. So it may be a good choice used as well.

Try ebay. Get an i7-4770k/4790k for @$200ish or a Xeon E3-1246v3 3.4GHz for @$160ish.

No point spending cash on even a i5-4690k, all you are doing is upping the clocks a bit, still the same core/thread limitations. For streaming/production of any sort, threads = speed, not clocks.
