What I know about martial arts is dangerous, particularly for me.

My preferred method of fighting is very effective and works incredibly well for me.

As an example, the one time I ended in the middle of a bar fight. Took me all of 30 seconds to down my beer, duck under the tables and get out the door.

Obscrewup

Client walks into the workshop while they're working on his aging P2 system and yanks the SECC cpu out - while the system is on. Idiot. Realises he's made a boo-boo and tries to shove it back in - with the fan pointing the other way. The little notch prevents it from going back in until the client uses some BFI on it...

The best way not to lose is to avoid unnecessary fighting.
Now before anybody calls me a coward, let's just say I don't see what there is to gain in a bar fight - apart from a Darwin Award, a time in the drunk tank, and probably a no-expenses-paid trip to the dentist's.

There are three ways to get past most mountains: climb it, tunnel it, or walk around it...

Although I've practiced Judo for 14 years (have won 2 state titles, when I was 12 and 15 y.o.), today I believe that firearms are "a bit" more effective.

While you're probably right about it being more practical...it's also a bit scary. Teaching people to kill people is great....for population control! But bad for mankind. For all you know this organization is training their own army. Funny right? I wasn't kidding. Anyway, we should teach our kids violence while they're young. It's kind of like brainwashing kids with the local religion. The sooner we get everyone to see things our way the better. 😛 Not that you have to see anything my way. I just like to provoke deeper considerations. :-D

I will read all these advice before I start assembling my first pc, but I just know I'll end up making some of these mistakes. Like to thank the community that contributed to this thread though; I'm sure some of your advice will stick. One thing that I realize so far is how the motherboard layout could save same headaches if you're gonna buy a small case like the one that I'm getting. That's why I chose the p5b-deluxe over its siblings. Hope that helps other newbies. :)

and the point of living is...? LOL I mean, does it really matter to the never-ending cycles of the universe what happened in last nights game? If we all perish in the blink of an eye, the only ones who care are the ones who are gone...the ones past gone and those yet to be won't cry out.

With cinnamon??? Yummy...drewl...

I'll be making some this weekend as there is 80% rain forecasted for the whole weekend. Bought all the ingredients already...

Liars! All of you! There is no hell! You know where liars go right? No, not hell. Go to your room! Unless you're already there...then uhh...wanna play a game of Diablo II?

ROTFLMAO!!!!

I'm at work and I don't have a working copy of Diablo 2 any more (still have the patches though) and even if I did and I was home I still couldn't play cause I have a wireless connection. I'll be the teleporter...can you say it with me...LAAAAAAAAAAG. Can you immagine that, a teleporting barbarian

Yeah, you know after a bit the game has no real direction...sometimes I LIKE linear games. You feel like you're progressing...and then you get to the end and even though you didn't really feel like playing it all that much anyway, you suddenly miss it. LOL

Yeah, you know after a bit the game has no real direction...sometimes I LIKE linear games. You feel like you're progressing...and then you get to the end... Even though you didn't really feel like playing it all that much anyway because it became a chore, you suddenly miss it.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?

Actually I heard it was great, bought it and put it down. Morrowind is better, but now I have Oblivion so...

Yeah, Oblivion it's the best, I'm playing it in my Ti4200 8) ... but weren't we talking about screw ups? :? 8O  :?:

Buying a PS3 right now off eBay could be too...
With all the games and systems out there...why spend a grand on a PS3 or $600 on a graphics card? Sure the PS3 has blu-ray, but it's a short matter of time before the drives are $60.

My other favorite was the inside and outside crescent kicks... Got a lot of those too... Almost EVERYONE telegraphs those... Leaves a great shot to the ribs open :)

Good stories. I got started in high school and got to see one of the cockier students get his butt kicked real proper right after warning a skilled boxer: "My hands are regestered weapons".
