Worth getting 7870 crossfire? (United Kingdom)

So im upgrading my pc from:

-AMD FX 4100
-MSI 870-C45(FX) V2
-Sapphire 7870 XT
-CiT 650w (Bad reviews, don't want to frying my pc)

To:

-AMD FX 8350
-GIGABYTE 990FX-UD3
-MSI AMD 7870 2GB CF
-OCZ 650w '80+ Bronze'

Is it worth going for the Crossfire 7870 or would it be too much hassle with getting games to work, drivers etc. And also are these upgrades ok? I have them cheap and the reviews say they're good so wondering on any last tips or changes before i get them

Bad idea, buying into Crossfire when you could go for a single faster card, it only really makes sense when you buy one card now and another in say 6 months.

For GPU Around 200-250, like i said im not sure my self if its even worth getting Crossfire, although the performance is really good

4670K and Z87 motherboard comes to about 250, guessing you have the funds set aside for that as you were going for a 8350 and motherboard for it. Same-ish price and unquestionably better, faster in pretty much all scenarios, massively faster in games that don't use multiple threads well, less power consumption to boot.

For 250 GPU budget you can take your pick from either a 770 or 280X, doesn't really matter which as they are near enough the same speed. If you are Battlefield player the 280X would be better because of Mantle support, if you think you'll add another card down the line the 770 would be better because SLI is more consistent than Crossfire.

Id be getting the CPU & Motherboard for £182.2, ill most likely be selling my 7870 XT then introducing a Nvidia card to my computer like GTX 770. Also what are your views on GTX 680's?

680 and 770 are the same card, 770 just has some software changes is all, bumped up voltage cap from 1.175v to 1.2v

Personally I'd suggest you go with a 4670K and forget about a GPU upgrade until Maxwell comes along. A 7870 XT is a very quick card, stuff in the 200-250 range really isn't that much faster, certainly not a big enough leap to warrant losing money on selling what you have.

So its more of just the case of upgrading my CPU? Because i think mine at the moment is bottlenecking with some games, like bf4.

Absolutely, a 4100 is much too slow for a 7870 in CPU dependent titles.
