Hey everyone, just was wondering would it be worth going from a 5700xt to a rtx 3070?

Hopefully this is for a 1440p monitor.

35% performance uplift is significant. Whether or not it's worth it comes down to personal preference AND how much you can get from selling the 5700XT.

Yes it is for 1440p. I have the Samsung odyssey monitor which is 1440p 240hz.

If you're pushing for max frame rates at high-ultra quality, then yes.

If you're content with high details at a lower frame rate, or low details at a high framerate, then, probably not needed.

Does your monitor have GSync, or FreeSync? What is its exact model number?

Ok, so it has both FreeSync AND GSync - no limitation to worry about on that point.

sorry out of topic here but i see you have a 32inch samsung oddyssey g7 what are your thoughts on the monitor i wanna buy one any input would be great. only interested in input from people who own the monitor which is why i havnt posted anything about it on the forum

I absolutely love it. I have had no problems with it. Beautiful 1440p picture and buttery smooth 240hz. Really easy to set up the rgb light on the back really gives it that little extra flair since I have a wall right behind it.

excellent great to hear. i will be turning off the rgb all together far to annoying for me

Oh, you should definitely take advantage of those features - well worth it, in my experience.

Not at all. It adjusts the refresh rate of the monitor to match what the video card is putting out at any given moment. It keeps smoothness even as frame rates vary.

I turned it on in amd program now should I turn it on in game as well?

You would just set it up in the general settings for gaming. It SHOULD, as I understand it, apply all the time.

I always thought you lost frames having that on. I turned it on in my amd graphics settings.
