Worth up grading CPU to i7 6600k

My built is 5 years old I7 2600k now up to 16 g ram and 2 gig GTX 670 video card but is it worth upgrading to I7 6600k or just sit tight for another year.

Intel are continually creating "the next generation" of processors. but would upgrading to you actually provide any more benefits that you already get from your current system. Also if you were to upgrade, you would have to get a new motherboard and RAM to support the CPU as a lot of boards now with the socket for 6th Gen Intel processors only come with DDR4 memory slots.

Well if your considering gaming at this point in time it probably would be better to upgrade your Video card to something with at least 4GB of ram then maybe next year around this time to upgrade the rest of your system. Maybe getting a 1060 if they do perform like a 980/ti with 4gigs of ram will be better for games then basically a processor upgrade.

Thanks will just upgrade video card then to GTX 970 and revisit this next year
