Worth upgrading motherboard to something else?

Hi guys, I currently have a GA-H61M-DS2V with an Intel i5 3470, 8 GB of G.Skill RAM at 1333mhz and an r9 270x Sapphire factory OC edition.

This motherboard isn't really anything special. The chipset is pretty old (H61), it doesn't support SATA 3 nor USB 3.0. I'm not sure if it is worth upgrading.

If its worth upgrading you may as well build a newer system there isn't anything wrong with what you have not depending on your needs but if you wanting just upgrading go with a z97 board and a I 5 4690K.
