Hello all you memory-knowing people!
I am currently in the act of replacing my broken memory (2x2gb 6400).
So my question is this: Is it worth paying a few bucks extra for faster RAM?
Is there alot to gain by upgrading from 6400 to 8500?
System:
Intel E6600 @ 3600 mhz
Gigabyte GA-p35-DS4
nVidia 8800GTX (slightly oc'ed)
CPU and GPU are watercooled
Systemdisc is a raptor with 10,000rpm
I also have two storage discs at 500gb each (if that is of any importans)
Current memory:
Corsair QUAD2X4096-6400C5DHX
Possible upgrade:
Corsair QUAD2X4096-8500C5DF
Would a benifit alot from upgrading? I don't play alot but I do play a bit so any difference in gaming performance is intressting.
Thankful for all your replies!
