[SOLVED] Worth waiting for the new gen of gpus?

I'm going to build a computer and I have just about the budget for an rtx 2070 (as of my local prices). There are rumours that there are new gpus coming next summer and that these will be more powerful yet cheaper than the current series. If I don't wait I can buy the rig around Christmas. Is it worth the wait, also considering the prices on the rtx 2070 might lower? Should I just buy a new gpu series card? I could really use some help.

There is always something bigger,better,faster, cheaper .. around the corner. if you wait for one you will wait for the next and the next ...

for example, nvidia Ampere cards are predicted for June 2020 release, while the AMD RDNA2 cards maybe coming out in the 2nd half, and then of course there will be better CPU's to wait for ...
