Would a Pentium G640 Bottleneck a 1050ti?

Looking to upgrade this pre-built http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03355381 which is using a 430W EVGA PSU instead of the 220W one with the low profile version of the gtx 1050ti but I have no idea if the CPU with the GPU would result in a bottleneck. Also, do I need to get the low profile version or could I just get the mini version from ZOTAC? (The inside is basically identical to this one: https://www.cnet.com/products/hp-pavilion-s5-1060-slimline-core-i5-2310-2-9-ghz-6-gb-1-tb/review/). If the bottleneck is too big then I'll just go with a 750ti.

Solution
1) That CPU is almost identical to HALF of an FX-4300 (two vs four cores but similar performance per core) so as said it's a bit weak.

2) Bottleneck?
It varies by the game so there's no hard dividing line.

3) There are games that don't need more than that amount of CPU processing power, or even if bottlenecking the GPU can still give acceptable frame rates.

4) *Consider the GTX1050Ti 4GB or GTX1050 2GB (as long as you don't have only a VGA monitor input).

We could argue all day long about which one is the best "value" but there are...
That's an old, slow CPU which will struggle in modern games. Whether or not this matters to you will depend on what games you play, and what your expectations are. Regardless, a faster video card will still show benefits. Anti-aliasing will be virtually free in many cases.

Your CPU is socket 1155, which has inexpensive i3's, i5's and i7's which would fit. Would you consider a CPU upgrade too?

We could argue all day long about which one is the best "value" but there are games the GTX1050Ti will do better in even with that CPU.

*Ignore AMD GPU's (DX11 CPU overhead in drivers), and older graphics cards as you likely don't have the power supply. If we assume up to about 75W for the GTX1050Ti, and perhaps 100W for your system (probably less) then 250W is the bare amount though 300W or better is preferable. (also depends if you add a better CPU).

5) CPU upgrade as mentioned is possible. The socket AND the BIOS must both support the CPU (socket compatibility is not enough). You'd need to use CPU-Z, Speccy etc to find the EXACT motherboard model and find the CPU support list.

An i5-3590 or similar would be awesome. Even an i5-2500 might cost as little as $75USD on E-bay.

Solution
oops, forgot about the low profile issue.

Should open up the side of the case to verify the x16 PCIe slot for the card and no obvious space issues.

There is at least one low profile GTX1050Ti-> http://www.anandtech.com/show/10856/msi-adds-lowprofile-geforce-gtx-1050-ti-to-lineup

not sure where to buy: https://www.msi.com/service/wheretobuy/#53,2,

A GT740 /50 /Ti might be okay as well for basic gaming and there are low profile cards there too.

No, don't have enough for anything but the GPU and I do want to run modern games with at least 40-50+ fps.

Then you'll have to avoid many of the modern games because the G650 is simply not adequate for many of them. Games vary a LOT on how much CPU power they need, but you can find "Can I Run It" guides or google the game minimum requirements.

Will keep that in mind, thanks for the help.
