[SOLVED] Would a RTX 2070 GPU be compatible with an ASUS H81M-K Motherboard?

I have an ASUS H81M-K motherboard running a GTX 970 MSI and i'm looking to upgrade to an RTX 2070 so i'm wondering if..

1. Will the GPU will be compatible with my motherboard?
2. Would i be missing out any extra performance such as if the 2070 can run at a better performance but my mobo can only output so much?

Most likely your CPU will bottleneck the 2070 a bit in some games

No problem using that gpu with that motherboard but what cpu do you have? What resolution and Hz is your monitor and what RAM do you have?

Shame you can’t overclock on your motherboard. It should work well but you might not see the same FPS in some games as a system using a modern CPU and faster DDR4. I’d still expect it to be decent performance though.

Agreed, the I7 wil only loose some FPS (10% max.) in some games in others you won´t see a difference at all. Didn´t expect an I7 in this board
