[SOLVED] Would an HDCP 2.2 HDMI cable work with an HDMI 1.4 port?

I currently have a ASUS VG245H monitor with HDMI 1.4.

I learned that HDCP is not currently supported on my computer, I'm not quite sure why but I assume it's my HDMI cable or something like that not really sure how it all works. I found an HDMI cable that supports HDCP 2.2 and I'm not sure if that works with an HDMI 1.4 port.

HDCP doesn't come from the cable. If your computer doesn't support it then it doesn't support it.
