Would I need Crossfire for three monitors?

Hello there. What kind of a FPS decrease can I expect if I would go from 1 monitor to 3? And would my GPU be able to handle it on the latest games, preferably on high/ultra settings. I have an R9 290 whose core clock is OC:ed 15%. Thanks

Depends on the games largely,your 290 is more than capable of handling 3x1080p monitors.

But terribly optimized/ported games such as GTA IV(we'll see about 5) and Watch_Dogs will not be great.

As for expected decrease in FPS,i have very little idea.

Dont expect anywhere near 60 fps. Youll be more in the 30-45 fps

That's totally fine for me, I'm a quality-before-performance type when it comes to PC anyway.
