I work in retail and I work a lot selling laptops. I need some information on the Intel Centrieno vs. the AMD Mobile CPU. The Intel chip, I've been told, has about an 8 hour battery life, while regular P4 and AMD cpus have about a 2-3 hour battery life. Also, I've been told that the centreino compares about 800mhz faster when benchmarked to the Pentium 4. So that a 1.4 Centreino operates at like a 2.2 for example. (I know my spellings are wrong) Dispel or confirm this information someone please. Do a review on it tom! 😉 k thnx

8 hours! That would only be possible with 2 batteries...and most if not all centrino laptops are only equiped with 1...because they don't need the runtime...

I have a gateway 450e laptop with the 1.3 pentium M...it gets 5.5 hours surfing the net....and about 3.5-4 hours watching a dvd...

a 1.6 pentium M is equivilent to a 2.4 pentium 4M

Tom has done a review...leme find the link...

If i put my k6 in a Ferrari it would be faster than your your pentium 4 or Athlon XP
Edited by pIII_Man on 08/11/03 08:02 PM.
