I want to upgrade my GPU to the GTX 960, reason being that its cheap on eBay so I was wondering if the Corsair Cx500 would die if i used it. I have heard the CX500 has bad components which could die if I put too much pressure on it. I don't want my parts to die so I'm just asking to see. I know wattage is fine but I have heard wattage isn't all, for example using a 970 may strain it and kill the psu because of lower quality parts.

P.S. If you have any recommended upgrades for GPU let me know, only looking at this one since its under $50. Don't think ill find anything else around that range but oh well. Also anything on the PSU could be good too.
