I was killing some time during lunch the other day and had a few minuets to play DOA3 on the xbox. I was very very impressed! The game just looked incredible and who ever did the graphics for the chicks should get a medal! I mean I want to buy an X box just to look at the chicks!

OK I’m not that deprived but what I wanted to know is if anyone had bought one and what there impressions were.

Do the games hold your interest?
Any one tried playing DVDs?

I bought one at midnight launch night, and love it. DOA3 is definitely beautiful (love those double meanings). The launch games are all great, although some (like Halo) were rushed. The only thing Halo lacks is online multiplayer, and bots for deathmatch practice, due to launch deadline.

As for games that hold my attention: Halo is addictive, and has great replay value, especially if you get into co-op multiplayer and versus multiplayer.

DOA3 is fun to play against friends of roughly equal skills. I'm not a fighting game conossoiseur so I don't sit around trying to beat it all day, but treat it as more of a pre-night-on-the-town party game. Guys definitely love it, and most chix that have seen it are intrigued and get a laugh out of it.

My most recent addition is Transworld Surf, and it has quickly usurped Halo's place as my new addiction. This game is great if you're at all into the sport.

As for DVD playback, it looks equivalent to a regular DVD player on my interlaced, 24 inch, flat-screen TV. It lacks progressive scan, so if you own an HDTV, it won't look as good as a dedicated, progscan capable DVD player.

Ahhh, nothing like those fully rendered bouncing breasts in DOA3. DOA is no Soul Calibur but it gets the job done as far as fighting games go. The only gripe I've had is the control is a little loose. I'd give it a 8.8 out of 10.
