X370 or B350 with Ryzen 2?

Hello, I'm considering purchasing a Ryzen 2 2600X, but my budget doesn't allow for me to purchase a new X470 motherboard as there are quite expensive on first launch, and the cheaper chipset has'nt been released yet. Will Ryzen 2 run on the older x370/b350 boards? What will i loose out by going with the older chipset, and will i regret it down the line? Another questoin is should i just go for the older Ryzen 1600X? Is there that big of a difference? Thanks

Yes, they will run on those chipsets just fine providing right BIOS is installed, in most cases that means newest BIOS version. I just switched from 1700x to 2700x on my Asus Prime x370 pro MB, works perfectly.

I would say get the new chipsets otherwise you wont get the best feature of the new CPUs which better utilize the boost clock to gain more performance.
