Hi, I am going to build a new gaming pc with the following specs and I have chosen the Msi X470 Gaming Pro Carbon.
Cpu: Amd Ryzen 7 2700
Ram: Trident z rgb 16gb (or 32gb not sure yet) 3200mhz cl16
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB
PSU: Corsair Rm750x (2018)
Cooler: BeQuiet Dark Rock 4 Pro
Case: Coolermaster H500
Gpu: Gigabyte Gtx 1060 6gb (already own)

So, I 've heard that both mobos are pretty good, but a lot of people said the Msi has better vrm. Some others said the Asus is better and has 3 years warranty vs 1 of Msi. In aesthetics I prefer the Msi. In a vrm tier list I read both are in the same tier. Personally I prefer the Msi, but is there any reason to prefer the asus against the other?

PS: I don't want an x570 since they are much more expensive (I found at 220€ the msi x570 gaming edge wifi but it's lower quality than a high-end x470).
any thoughts?

Solution
Userbenchmark PC Build Comparison
Baseline Bench: Game 64%, Desk 137%, Work 116%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X €283
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB €215
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB €183
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB €90
MBD: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX (MS-7C02)
Total: €771

Alternative Bench: Game 62%, Desk 122%, Work 104%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X €198
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB €215
SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB €183
RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB €90
MBD: MSI X470 GAMING PRO CARBON (MS-7B78)
Total: €686

I used these specs on userbenchmark and since the gpu is the bottleneck, the differences aren't that big...
While msi have really good boards for 400 series the 500 series are pretty bad especially the motherboard you listed have bad reviews about tempratures. Its true that Msi X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is a really good motherboard with decent vrm's but at 180 that is at the moment you either give a bit more to go to an X570 or save your money and go to a B450 Tomahawk that have decent vrm's too and its enough for the most cpu's out there even the 12core. I personally would suggest this motherboard over MSI X470: https://www.skroutz.gr/s/19384271/Gigabyte-X570-Aorus-Elite-rev-1-0.html#sku-info
Also this video will help you a lot it reviews 4 affordable X570 motherboard like Gigabyte X570 i listed and the MSI X570 gaming edge.

Ok thanks for your response. Rhe only problem is the budget. If I go for a X570 I should get a Ryzen 3rd gen (3600) which costs 30€ more. Also a x570 is 40€ more and remains of lower quality than an expensive x470. I was thinking of buying a ryzen 2700 which is very powerful with 8 cores, good enough for workstation too and pairing with a high-end x470 (or at least decent).
PS: Ellinas den eisai??? 😂

I bet you speak for Ryzen 5 3600 while it has 2cores/4threads less than Ryzen 7 2700 they have almost the same multicore performance and 3600 is much stronger in single core performance. Ryzen 7 2700 will also work with X570 and you can keep a good motherboard for future cpu upgrade especially if the 4th gen remain on AM4 platform. Also the X570 i listed its not lower quality than the MSI X470 Carbon only the 170-180€ X570 would be.
PS: Nai

I personally would leave the cpu cooler out buy a decent B450 Tomahawk Max (that dont need bios update like the X470 Carbon) motherboard at 100€ and get a Ryzen 7 3700X that have a decent rgb cpu stock cooler. This is how you will get the max performacne out of your money especially if you use your computer as workstation.

I used these specs on userbenchmark and since the gpu is the bottleneck, the differences aren't that big, especially in gaming where gpu is restricting performance. Both build are in the same price (3700x, b450 tomahawk max, amd cooler) vs (2700, x470 gaming pro carbon, dark rock 4 pro).
* In userbenchmark I put as cpu 2700x because I could overclock the 2700 to match a bit the results of 2700x but anyway it's again almost same result with a 2700.
What I want to say is that I don't deny this suggestion which improves the cpu, but i was thinking of having a better motherboard and a really nice cooler. Anyway, i will think of it until I start buying the parts. Thanks for your help. (Ευχαριστώ αλήθεια φίλε 😉)

For gtx 1060 everything you listed is more than enough even a ryzen 5 1600 would be a good pair with 1060 even the 750W psu you listed is overkill for the components but you should think about the future and how much your gtx 1060 will last. Ryzen 7 3700X will allow you to have better upgrade paths rather the 2700 also the 3rd gen ryzen boost almost at its max potential there is no room for overclocking so you dont need to overclock or buy the best cpu cooler just for extra 100mhz. Moreover, a cpu cooler you can add in 2 months , one year or whenever you want but to upgrade the cpu is not that simple. Also getting a more expensive motherboard you wont gain anything anyway (i mean from B450 to X470 with X570 is another story because you will have PCI-e gen 4.0) the am4 will be dead soon or enough (2020 is the last year and its no gurantee that even the 4rth gen that will be released in 2020 will be at AM4 platform). Tomahawk is a very good motherboard i personally own it and thats why i reccomend this motherboard not only based on reviews.

I understand your point and I guess you are right. The only difference in my occasion is that I am not planning to upgrade anything. I am going to spend a lot of money for my data and I can't spend more money just for a pc + θα ενηλικιωθώ σε 3-4 χρόνια και αν περάσω σε σχολή δεν θα παίζω η/υ. Anyway, I was thinking of another solution in order to take a 3700x. I could keep the mobo and the cooler and buy 16gb and not 32gb ram (which i was thinking) so I save 100€. The cpu costs 160€ more than 2700 so I am close to the price. Not sure though yet.
Last question: when is better buy parts: Beginning of November or Christmas and after (speaking of discounts and price drops)?
Thanks again...

I dont get why you need 32Gb i did not notice that. Whats the perpose of the computer? If you are not planning on upgrades and you want to save as much money you can then you already have a 1060 , get the 2700 that is a good pair with gtx 1060 , get a less W psu even 550 is enough , get 16Gb of ram , and the B450 tomahawk. Probably i never saw a good discount for hardware in Greece especially the big stores they raise the price before and then present it as "discount".

Yes, ofcourse I am speaking of smaller stores (partners of Skroutz) who have good prices. I wouldn't even think of buying a pc part from these big chain enterprises where it's 50€ more expensive.

Most of the skroutz partners are good i mostly avoid the really cheap ones because you will have to wait a really long time and i dont know how they react and how helpfull they are if you ever need the warranty. If you live in Athens it is better to pick the components from different stores and pick them from the store. If not then try to buy the parts from a single store because the shipping cost and cash on delivery will cost you a lot.
