Hi I’m having issues with video on my mobo. I do have a gpu connected. But still no video. I just bought the mobo today and installed my gtx dual 1060 6gb. My card worked w my B350 pc mate board but it won’t work w my x470 prime pro. Wat am I doin wrong ?

If you just moved everything over from the previous motherboard, there are a few possibilities. For example, there may be a CPU OR memory compatibility issue. The motherboard BIOS may need to be updated.

Or it may be as simple as a loose cable connection. Another possibility is that the RAM isn't fully seated. The same applies to the graphics card.

Here are a couple of checklists on this problem.

I'm sorry this was the second question like this that I answered in a row.

You can remove the graphics card, and plug the monitor into the motherboard video outputs. Then reboot the PC.

After the monitor is working (assuming that it does work). You can go into the BIOS and force the graphics from Auto to Integrated. That will allow you to plug in the graphics card while troubleshooting.

You are correct. I read that the second generation processors were to have the "advanced Radeon™ Vega graphics built-in". But I just checked the R7-2700x and they don't.

That is going to significantly affect your troubleshooting. Do you have another graphics card that you can borrow? You just need it long enough to verify that the motherboard works.

Assemble everything. The motherboard will boot with just the motherboard, RAM, CPU, and power supply. But without a graphics card, drive, and Windows you will not see anything on the monitor (since you can't plug it into the motherboard).

With no monitor, you can boot up a system with the minimum motherboard, RAM, CPU, and power supply. If you have a case speaker or a LED diagnostic display, it will either pass POST or it will not. That will be displayed on the LED or by a beep on the speaker.

Since a discreet graphics card is required on this system, you can't plug the monitor into the motherboard. So the graphics card has to be installed before the monitor can be used.

This probably will not apply to your situation, some Ryzen motherboards produced early in the year were released with a BIOS that were not compatible with the second generation processors. Those require a boot kit from AMD to allow those systems to boot. I thought I would mention that.
