X470 prime pro

Hi I’m having issues with video on my mobo. I do have a gpu connected. But still no video. I just bought the mobo today and installed my gtx dual 1060 6gb. My card worked w my B350 pc mate board but it won’t work w my x470 prime pro. Wat am I doin wrong ?

If I might offer some advice, in the future don't buy a processor that doesn't support integrated graphics. If it means buying Intel, then buy Intel.

Are you serious, then nobody should buy a HEDT chip like mine or like 7900X or 7980XE because they dont have iGPU? Worst advice i ever heard.

So you like being out of commission if you have a problem with your graphics card. The OP can't even get into the BIOS.

There plenty of options to diagnose something, you can find videocards for 10-15$ Second-Hand for diagnosis purpose only (i got 3 lying around in my house from previous builds), having an iGPU should not force someone to buy an intel instead of a ryzen 2700X.

EDIT: Lets not say all High End Desktop (HEDT) Chips dont have iGPU, someone now should not buy Xeon chips because they dont have iGPU, i have my 6900K (HEDT with 40 PCIE Lanes to supports both videocards on 16X bandwidth and not to drop to 8x like a consumer CPU with iGPU). I m planning by winter to buy a 22-28 core chip for my motherboard because i need in what i work and guess what they dont have iGPU. I repeat myself this was a missinformed advice, iGPU should not make a criteria to buy a CPU, there are cheap alternatives to diagnose problems.

Actually there is a difference between a support list and a qualified vendor list. The compatibility lists report devices that meet the manufacturer specifications. The QVL vendor lists are suggested brand named devices (essentially paid advertising).

The supported memory frequencies is what you should pay most attention to.

Yea I contacted gskill yesterday just to see wat they say. They said my memory would support it. Idk honestly. So ima just get the trident z rgb 3200 at 8gb x4 like I was gonna eventually anyway. Cuz those I know are supported for this mobo and if they don’t work then I’ll RMA the board.

Lol I literally just ordered the tridents 16gb 8x2 and I have plenty clearance. I have yea the x470 prime pro mobo and the chassis is a 460x RGB Corsair case. Crazy cable management case. Lol
