[SOLVED] X470 Taichi, Loose Keyboard and Mouse during Windows 7 Install

While trying to install Windows 7 i loose Keyboard and mouse control. The ps2 port doesn't work either.

They work while in Bios.

Motherboard - Taichi X470
CPU - Ryzen 7

You need to slipstream the drivers into the Windows 7 installation media. That motherboard was not designed to support Windows 7.
On the downloads for that motherboard -- https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X470%20Taichi/index.asp#Download Pick "all" for the OS and there is a file called Windows 7 USB Patcher -- That will add the necessary USB support.

And if you have 2nd gen Ryzen like 2600 or 2700, don't even try W7, just doesn't work on those processors.

Why doesn't it work on 2nd gen Ryzen 2700?

It just dosn't recognize processor properly. Nothing I tried helped and dont know anybody that managed it. Found that when I installed 2700x instead of 1700x in same MB, it would come up to desktop and get BSOD indicating bad CPU. Nothing else was changed at that time and W10 and Mint work perfectly.
