X58A-GD45 PCI-E slot identification?

I'm looking to install a new MSI GTX 1080 to my X58A-GD45 in place of my current GTX Geforce 970. I have been looking over the slots specs and it says I have Three 16x PCI-E 2.0 slots (two 16x and one 4x), two PCI, two 1x PCI-E . I would like to lower my GPU down a slot because my current slot has the graphics card pressing against the case fan slightly. It doesn't cause any issues but I would like to be able to open and close my case without concern of unnecessary pressure against fan or gpu. This is my temporary solution rather than moving to my larger case yet. So my question is can I slide my GPU from the most medial slot to one slot more distally or are those other blue slots not of the same capacity?

You might have to drop it 2 slots to get the 16X slot.

So the second blue slot from the left or the first? It is currently in the third blue from the left.
