Yes it's still in Russian (probably the English version at Digit-Life in a few days), and if you want to read it with craptacular Rus-glish use SYSTRAN, but there's lots of benchies to look at. Some of the theoretical numbers against performance numbers lead me to believe both cards need driver work, especially with some of the games not running.

Still a mix of wins and losses, and strangely even the GF6600GT doing better with Optimizations off than on. The impact of AI on performance is once again evident. Definitely an interesting mix of results, especially TombRaider and HL2 stolen Beta IMO.

Interesting look at the blob of 'caramel sugar' as the translation calls it, on the HSF. I really think that the board partners will do a better job with the cooling solution. The guys also use Rivatuner to max the RPM at 55% and the temps only climb from 60 to 70 degrees, still within good operational tolerance under load. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of HIS and ASUS.

What are they refering to with the 6600GT optimizations?

The GF6600GT has a 2 set of possible optimizations (only one is off by defaul in the Beta drivers [both are on in the official release drivers]).

Here's the description from 3DCentre, it's quite a well known issue.

Now I'm not sure if that's the one they disabled but it wouldn't surprise me if it's similar.

Another interesting note, there appears to be D3 optimisations in nV drivers too according to the 3DCenter;

Well I couldn't quite catch most of the translated material, despite the visual examples. And I never really caught how to read those graphs on filtering, as in, I don't know how to interpret them. What is going on exactly?
