X86 compatible

Any word on x86 compatible CPUs being produced currently by someone other than AMD or Intel?

VIA makes the Nano processor. They launched the 3000 line last November.

x86 requires a license from Intel and x86-64 needs another one from AMD. I don't know of any other manufacturers of note making X86 today.

i don't think any other company has a license to make x86 (or x86-64) processors

Haha awesome. Well, looks like everything was either discontinued or sold to Via, Intel or AMD.

pretty much, which is unfortunate, and the fact that VIA doesn't compete in teh desktop space as well (leaving Intel and AMD)
