Xb271hu with freesync?!

Recently ordered a refurbished xb271hu from acer. They claim its definitely a freesync model which really confuses me. Could this be true? I'm thinking it's lackluster customer service because g sync and 1440 display are the two major changes they made from 270 to 271. Has hbu271 always had gsync? I couldnt even find any older 271 models claiming to have freesync so it seems pretty unlikely.

XB271HU is definitely G-Sync.
