You can disagree all you want, that doesn't make it any more right nor does you linking to something that shows keyboarders beat controller users. There are many things to factor in beyond the controller whether you want to accept that or not. I can speak from first hand knowledge in how much or little "better" a keyboard/mouse player can be over a controller player. A keyboard / mouse is 100% restricted to the exact same game mechanics as a controller and you saying otherwise without first hand experience is shear stupidity.

You are naive for thinking that gaming smarts is not much more important than outright shooting and that has been proven as well. What do you think actually separates professional gamers who's aim and reflexes are almost identical? It is their smarts of the game.

Me being a well above average mouse player can tell you that according to you and your link there shouldn't be a single controller person out there that can beat me. Well I can certainly tell you that you are wrong and that again is from first hand knowledge and not just me spouting off hearsay as you are.

So until you actually have the first hand knowledge to speak on the subject, keep your foot out of your mouth and remain silent.

The subject of controller vs mouse/keyboard (All things being equal), again, controller is no match.

I cant prove any more than you can about first hand experience, albeit my argument (couldn't say you've added anything constructive except opinion) has merit and the fact is, regardless of game mechanics the human physical limitations between the two is worth taking note of.

With a controller, maneuverability is physically limited to single strokes as the thumb stick can only go one way each time, no matter how quick it is done. Valve's controller is an improvement, still the thumb is limited to single strokes. Strokes i mean where the thumb needs to be to perform a task.

The hand on a keyboard is not as limiting and has the ability to do more simultaneous maneuverable functions quicker and more efficient, effectively performing more tasks in a single moment. One thumb vs 3 fingers.

As for the mouse, the muscle in the wrist is stronger and quicker compared to opposing thumb, allowing for better stabilization in aiming and confidence.

There are four types of assisted aiming in console games: Snapping, Friction, Acceleration, and Magnetism.

1. Magnetism defines and outlines how far a bullet will "bend" in order to hit an enemy. Bullets and projectiles do not necessarily travel in a straight path; they will curve very slightly in order to hit a target. Different projectiles will experience different curvatures.

2. Snapping reorients the gun barrels toward enemies whenever a player's reticle are in proximity to their target.

3. Acceleration makes it so that when the player pegs their aiming stick in one direction the player's reticle will start moving slowly in that direction then pick up speed.

4. Friction slows the player's turn rate as soon as their reticule passes over an enemy. What it does is that it slows your top speed, and then dramatically decrease the rate at which the crosshair will slow down when you release the stick.

With out these assists, be very difficult.

One thing I do know is that every console player I've mentioned the possibility of kb/m control on the Xbox One to, they all say the same thing: "As long as there's some indicator that people are using kb/m in-game." This is in the context of a first-person shooter (particularly BF4). This way, they can choose to play a controller-only match and avoid the kb/m players if they aren't using kb/m.

This is all from players that have played shooters on a PC and have transitioned their gaming solely to console using a controller.

To me it seems much easier to use a kb/m for a shooter, but it's based on my experience. I haven't adapted to using the controller in the context of the first-person shooter because it is downright frustrating to me.

I guess if I've only known a controller and committed to its usage in the shooters, I'd be better at that than the keyboard. Knowing both, though, it just feels more natural to play a shooter with the kb/m combo.

Give us options. Controllers. Keyboard+mouse.

What's this about gamers leaning forward, vs back and having fun.

hmmm...Does this mean that sex is only fun when she is on top and leaning back?
Is this therefore fun for one and not the other??

Hryb must believe that doggie is therefore not fun.

I'd throw my money at the first console which gave me Keyboard and Mouse support in interface AND games.

Of course, I'd pick the controller for some genres.
(Fighters, platformers, racing etc)

Please Microsoft, cater for personal preference. Stop telling us what's fun.
Let consumers decide and maybe consumers will surprise you.

A keyboard with touchpad like the Logitech revue came with (google tv) would be excellent for the entertainment side and true use of the web
