Xbox one which might come later this year and maybe priced around Rs 25000-30000.... Or a good Rs 30000 built cpu....(not the whole pc..only cpu)... What say...? Which one is worth??
Also this is the first tym I will be buying a console like xbox...
I am a pc gamer...so I have some doubts on controls of xbox...will I like it having previously played games on pc..?

Xbox One will have no backwards compatibilty, and no upgradeability. As for built cpu.. what do you mean? You cant game on nothing but a CPU. You need graphics card, motherboard, hard drive, ram, power supply, case, optical drive...

I mean Rs30000...just for d cpu...which would obv include gpu..psu..processor n stuff...

Actually until your post the backwards teaching from my elementary school years didn't click back into place. Forgot people used to call the tower the CPU, I guess they still do in some parts of the world. But yeah.. A PC will always be much more future proof than a console, as you cannot upgrade a console. Not to mention that if I was a console guy I would not want one where I would have to pay close to new-game price for used games. They have a game-reactivation fee that retailers have to pay, which to keep up overhead will of course be passed down to consumers. Also the XBOne will have to be connected to the internet every now and then to verify the licences for games stored on it, whereas you could own a PS4 for years and play only single player games without ever connecting it to the internet.

Just to clean up the terminology, you are referring to the entire computer as the "CPU"; it will be simpler for more people to understand what you mean if you use the acronym "PC" instead. It stands for: Personal Computer.

Nonetheless, I recommend going the PC gaming route as there are many benefits to it.

PCs are upgradeable. PC has MANY more games. You can use an xbox controller with your PC if you like. You can use your TV as a monitor if you like. PCs are usually cheaper for the same hardware. Steam has sales where you can get great games for a very low price.

Overall, I think the PC is the better option.

The great thing about consoles is that once you buy it, you do not have to worry about upgrading it because you can't.

Any game you buy for the console whether in 2014 or 2019 will be able to run on the console because the hardware does not change. Playing games on the PC is different. Since new hardware is always coming out every 6 - 9 months game developers generally push the performance envelop so that every year games basically become more demanding. Buying a 2019 PC game may still be playable on a PC you build in 2014, but due to higher system requirements the performance will be lower than playing a 2014 game.

With a console you can have friends over to play games on that single console. On a PC if you want to play with friends in your place, then you need to have a separate PC for them or they need to bring their own PC / laptop.

In the end it depends on what you prefer to play games on. I prefer playing games on a PC.

Umm.. just to clear it up.. wasn't it Mikazukinoyaiba that called me a name, not the OP you just quoted?

as for that....here's one build:

CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 (Rs 7200)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (Rs 4200)
RAM: 4GB Kingston 1600 MHz RAM (Rs 2000)
GPU: Zotac Geforce GTX 650 (Rs 8500)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM HDD (Rs 3300)
Cabinet: iBall Piano 126 (RS 2250)
Power Supply: Corsair VS 450 (Rs 2500)

Though u might wanna wait for Haswell, cuz with this ur upgrade options are limited to Ivy Bridge

Great points, though I think something can be said about the point distinctly quoted.

You're right about it for the most part, but for example;

The Xbox 360 was about 400-500$ when it was first released (not counting core because of the teeny hard drive that almost everyone upgraded), it played games at 720p in about medium details in comparison to the PC. Back then, 400-500$ would get you a PC that would play games just as good if not better than the 360. So in terms of cost/performance, they're about equal. As time goes on, the PC slowly gets better and better price/performance due to the fact that PC games are usually much cheaper than console games taking into account Steam deals, and the fact that even though upgrading your PC would add to the initial cost, it is usually worth it.

Just thought I'd add my opinion.
