Xbox one wired/wireless controller for windows

So i bought this controller and its supposed to work on windows, 7,8 and 10 but when i plugged it in it didnt install the drivers and now i dont know if i should return the controller or try to download the drivers manually. i found this https://digiex.net/threads/xbox-one-controller-usb-drivers-for-windows-pc-download.13601/
but i dont know if its safe to download them.

i solved it, i disabled auto updating drivers and enabled it again, didnt think that would actually work but it did. so now it works, thanks for all the help though 😀
