Question Xeon CPU temp going above 80c.

Hi guys, I recently bought lenovo s20 system with w3565 cpu and rx 470.

Now when I play csgo on it the temperature of cpu goes above 80c and the fans starts making very loud noises. The idle temperature of cpu is around 60c-70c. Are those temperatures dangerous?

which cooler is it? Eventually you will need to get a better one, which can cool down your 130Watt CPU

Unfortunately I don't know about the cooler, Is Arctic Siver 5 would be a good thermal paste?

Would use Arctic MX-2 or MX-4.

Arctic Silver is ok if you have nothing at hand, but wouldn´t buy it.

If the cooler is not good, then the heat will not be lower in all cases of different pastes.

Take a picture of the cooler, maybe someone is recognizing the model

WOW, the Xeon W3565 is a 130w TDP chip at stock clocks. It's a 45nm fab chip, so don't expect the best efficiency, expect lots of heat. That taisol cooler doesn't even spec a TDP figure, but I highly doubt it's capable of cooling a 130w chip. It's more than likely only capable of working on a 65w max tdp cpu.

You need to find a cooler that's actually spec'd for at least 130w tdp.

The hyper evo 212 is a good cooler rated for 150w tdp, that won't break your wallet. It's usually about $35, and should work well for that cpu on an LGA1366 socket.
