[SOLVED] XEON x5460 question

Hi, about a few weeks ago, my Core Duo e8400 pc was succesfully upgraded to Q9500 without problems. thread for reference. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/q9500-temp-check.3723446/

I use this pc as backup storage and retro gaming.

today, I saw a youtube video where a guy has upgraded his LGA 775 board to a Xeon5460. This youtube video for reference.

Gave me the idea that it might be possible to further upgrade my Q9500 to a Xeon5460. Was further encouraged by seeing Samsung G41 mobo with an X4560 for sale at a site. however, thinking again.. the Q9500 + GT1030 combo of this system already runs smoothly all the old games it has, including King of Fighters XIV (which I thought would be unplayable, because it's a PS4 game, but surprisingly worked fine).

a few questions...

1. Would it be possible to upgrade, in case could get hands on an x5460?

2. Is it worth upgrading, is there a large gap in performance between an x5460 and a Q9500?

3. Am I just putting things at risk for no reason? System is stable already, and it already does what I want it to do. Things might get messed up if try changing processors again?

not even worth the shot, Q9500 is already enough, get yourself an E3 1240 v2 and i would sure that it will uplift the performance better and the power draw lower by much.

I appreciate the 1240 v2 suggestion, but that won't really fit onto my lga 775 mobo. Have not mentioned, actually have two pc.. the one for retro gaming, and another one for more demanding games. The reason I maintain this older pc is because it has Windows 7.. the newer pc has Windows 10, and certain old games don't run at all in W10. The reason I make this thread is the possibility to make the Windows 7 system better with the Xeon x5460.. I plan to put into it all games that won't work in W10, that I might encounter later.

memory: 4GB Micron
cooling: cooler master T20
case fan: NF-A9
games present: Warcraft 3 (for some reason, does not run in windows 10), Kof XIII, Kof XIV, Otomedius G (does not run in windows 10), Vanguard Princess

Windows 10 system

CPU: i52500k
GPU: MSI GTX 1050ti
memory: 32GB Kingston
cooling: stock cooler
case fan: stock fan
SSD: Patriot Burst 480GB
games present: Genshin Impact, Valorant, Nights of Azure

a little update.. have seen some horror stories on youtube and reddit when people try to update their lga 775 to an X5460 Xeon. Which include... windows boots but bsod when try to play a game, or their pc runs slow with the Xeon because a Bios update is needed. I don't really want to mess with the bios.. so it's time to give up.

will just be satisfied with the Q9500 that I have.

because xeons on that age werent supposed to work on lga 775, so you wouuld need to tape mod it.
