XFX R7 240 GPU constantly reads at 127 C

So I recently installed an AMD R7 240 graphics card in my desktop along with a 650W Thermalkate psu, and I've been having problems with the gpu whenever my daughter tries to play Minecraft. It crashes within the first 5 minutes and says the display driver has stopped and successfully recovered. It does the same thing when she tries to play Bendy and the Ink Machine or Roblox. It works absolutely fine for literally everything else: watching YouTube or any videos, browsing the web, or playing lower demanding games like Resident Evil 0 on Dolphin Emulator or FNAF Simulator. So I installed GPU-Z to see what's going on with it, and apparently right from boot up it's registering the GPU temp at 127 degrees Celsius and maintains the exact same temp no matter what the computer is doing. But the card itself doesn't feel hot to the touch and its fan spins. So this has to be some kind of fault with the card, right? I just wanna get someone's opinion before I take it back to Best Buy. Thanks for your time.

My system:
HP Pavilion P6631p
CPU: AMD Athlon II 635 Quad-core 2.9ghz
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 750 GB
PSU: Thermalkate 650W SMART
GPU: XFX Core Edition AMD Radeon R7 240 4 GB

I ran DDU and installed the latest drivers from the AMD website. And I just checked it on Open Hardware Monitor and it says the GPU core temp is 127. It also says the fan is running at 100%.

Do the fans sound like they're running at 100 percent? It's pretty obvious that something's wrong but just to rule out anything.

Well as soon as I turn the computer on, the fan starts and it spins at the same high rate of speed, constantly. And I have the side panel off my computer so I know it's definitely the GPU fan. I've been having trouble with it all week. I think I'm just going to pack it up and take it back today to swap it out for a NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 and see if it does any better. Cause I don't have another computer to test it on and my motherboard only has one PCI slot. I'm just really hoping it's not something wrong with my computer, cause I can't afford any more money on it.

Turns out it was just a defective card. I went and got the NVIDIA GT 710 tonight and the temp is sitting at 31 idle. It went up to about 50 after I ran Minecraft on max settings for about half an hour, and it didn't crash. Kinda sucks though cause it's a bit of a downgrade. But it was the only card in my price range that they had in stock and I just didn't want to wait another week and a half for another 240 and run into more problems. Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Well it can be defective only of temperature showing, there is no way that it can go over 95*C without shutting display off, you can touch heatsink and sense the heat of the card if you are willing.
If you wanna good alternative "IF" cheap one GTX 560Ti or R7 250 GDDDR5, [strike]but with which system specs do you have?[/strike](sorry morning :ange: )
