I've seen a lot of threads about the Radeon rx5700 xt having to be under volted due to heating issues and unstable frame rates. But there are people that are over clocking their 3rd party rx 5700 xt's. Can anyone clarify if I should be under volting or over clocking my card? Thanks

Solution
It was the Thicc 2 that had thermal issues. Supposedly, the Thicc 3 fixes those issues: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/xfx-radeon-rx-5700-xt-thicc-iii-ultra/

Also, you have keep in mind that some people who still have thermal issues do dumb things like:
-getting a fancy glass front panel chassis with fans almost flush with said glass. Since the glass is transparent, airflow must be too...
-load up the chassis on LED fans with no regards to airflow or have just 1 or 2 fans.
-put a liquid cooler on the cpu, when a 200w+ gpu will easily pull more power than it in most cases
All that, and then complains about high gpu thermals...

I was one of those lol.... (not intended, sadly where I live there aren't many choices for cases so it was really hard to pick one for a reasonable budget) but now I fixed most of the issue and I have a really good airflow inside the case (atleast for the "cheap" 120mm Cougar fans I have installed).

Still the case and the components looks pretty awesome, and everyone that comes to my home usually says "wow", "nice", "it looks cool". And yes just to be clear RGB does not make your PC to go faster.

Cheers!
