Question XMP causes crash (black screen)

I tried to turn on XMP since my RAM is advertised as 3600Mhz and it was currently running on 2133Mhz. When i turned it on, my pc would crash and my screen would just go black.

APU: Ryzen 5 5600g
RAM: (2) GSkill Ripjaws 8gb 3600Mhz DDR4 w/ heatsink
MoBo: Gigabyre B550M-DS3H
PSU: FSP Hydro GD 650W Hydro GD 80+ Gold APFC True Rated PSU

Speed is not the only the criteria you should be paying attention to. You should always pay attention to official support list. Some memory module configurations only work up to certain speeds, or are supported only up to 2 sticks etc. It all comes down to the chips those memory sticks are made of.
For all the brands you see, there's really just the big 3 (Samsung, SK-Hynix, Micron) + adata that make vritually all the DDR4 memory on the market.

I just checked my motherboard's official memory support list. My ram sticks were in the list.
