So I clicked restart on my PC and went into the BIOS to turn XMP on. I then saved changes and exited. Upon exit, the pc turned off, turned back on, turned off, turned back on until I decided to press the power on button on the case itself and it booted fine but the RAM frequency was still not at what XMP would have allowed when I got into windows. 1, is it possible the pc damaged anything when turning on and off and having me override that by pressing the power on button and 2, what happened?
