Does ne1 know how to make XP setup disks or a boot disk for machines that wont boot the XP cd?

I couldn't find anything on how to make boot disks in XP, but I would assume that its method would be similar to Windows 2000. You can find that at:

I don't know anything about computers... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night...

you can probably do it by booting from a 98 floppy, choosing "start computer with cd support", when its booted, go to the directory I386 on the cd, then run winnt.exe
I cant see any reason why that shouldnt work.

That doesnt work calv.
It sends a warning that the application doesn't run in dos mode.
There is a way to boot up using floppy. There are sites out there were you can download a program that creates you a set of 5 floppys to boot up windows xp setup program without having to boot from the cd.

Yes, that dosent work, if the computer wont boot from the cd make sure to turn off P&P os in the bios, mine wouldnt boot from cd either till I changed that.
