Right, strange problem, a seemingly harmless process in xp called 'devldr' or something to that effect crashes when windows goes to shutdown.

It comes up with press end now to end the program, and after doing so, the icons and the start bar disappear, but it doesn't come up with the box saying closing network connections, saving settings etc and just hangs.

All the usual [-peep-] I can think of has been done but to no avail.

Has anyone ever experienced problems with 'delvdr' before? Or have any idea what it is or what its related to?

Any thoughts appericiated.

Slowdown? What slowdown? Didn't you know this was a slideshow?

I get that too sometimes. I have not got around to sorting it out yet.
