I tried to upgrade XP Home to XP Pro but when it was almost upgrading there
was an error. Don't know what it was. I looked at the Support center place
and it said to to install it using New Installation (advance) I didn't want
to do it because i don't know if it will delete my files. So my question is
will it fix the problem and will New installation delete my files?

Hi,

A new installation without formatting will not delete the files, but they
may not be where you expect them, and you may have to do some searching to
locate them. Before doing *anything*, stop and copy any important files to
floppy or CD.
