I Have downloaded the latese update, KB835732, but it will not install.
I have tried turning off the restore point & Adaware but still have the
problem.
Please help with any comments or solutions.

Thanks

Actually XP SP2 is the latest Windows Update. It will
probably have that single update you are trying to
install.

I have had a similar problem before. I called for tech support and the tech
checked for the files that were updated by the update and determined that I
had the latest file but the registry did not take the fix. The technician
sent me a .reg file and cured the problem.

you may DL Sp2 from Softpedia at
SoftPedia released a link to download SP2 directly at
http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/13/9/13-9-177.shtml (just scroll down
the page a bit and click download)

How many times must you be told that SP2 CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED DIRECTLY FROM
SOFTPEDIA?! The download link directs the user to the MS download site! Will
you please stop posting such inaccurate and misleading 'information'?!

Actually, the download link on Softpedia redirects you to EITHER
Microsoft's download site, OR several mirror sites.
