XP Pro will not allow set up of dial up modem

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.configuration_manage (More info?)

PC was set up to work on dsl. Moved machine to area were
dsl is not available. In connection manager all accesses
to dial up are grayed out, also never dial is selected,
is grayed out and cannot be changed.

Any/All help will be appreciated

Does your puter have a modem installed?
Go the Network Connections and remove or disable all previous connections.
Click on Add a New Connection and proceed with the connection wizard.
