xp unable to see .xex files on flash drive

trying to execute Lenovo updates by installind drivers from usb stick. Can't see the exe files on XP but I can see them on my Chromebook.

if you are not able to see extensions of exe files ( or some other file too ) then do this

go to control panel > then folder option > then click on view tab > then untick "hide extensions for known file types" from the list then click ok

and then open pendrive and you will be able to see the exe files too

( in rare case, some virus hided them thus you will need to scan your computer with latest updated antivirus )
