Hi all, I have an XPS 15 9570. It works fine when the charger is plugged in, but as soon as you unplug it the laptop shuts off. The battery life won't go past 3%. Is there a way that I can try to fix this or test the battery before I buy a new one?
If you're on Windows, you can uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery from Device Manager under Batteries. Reboot the system and see if that helps.
Beyond that, you can see if the laptop is pending a BIOS update. If that doesn't help, seems like you need to replace the internal battery for the laptop.
