GBA has tons of excellent games man. Seems to me you're one of those blokes who look at technology without paying attention to the substance.

God knows what the Sony handheld will boast. If it don't feature some good RPG, if not a mobile FF, it simply won't be all that. I heard it even has cooling fans.

oh well CELL WILL PWN ALL~~~ i doubt PSP is going to do as well as GBA, cause it's soo much more adavance (kinda like a PDA) it's gonna cost a arm and since PS3 will cost us an arm and a leg we'll have to play PS3 and PSP with our remaining leg lol

getting back on topic for a second, there is a article over on the inquirer.et poiting to a sales figure sheet showing that in the past quarter nvidia has lost profit and market share while ati has done the reverse.

Sony re-revolutionized the game industry. Thanks to Sony, the games industry is larger than the movie industry. That feat would not have been possible without games of the utmost quality. PC gaming and console gaming are very different things. It seems like Lancer here is the only other person here who truly understands the console industry.

Do you guys know how many PS2s have been sold worldwide? 51.2 million. More than one out of every 25 people in America owns one. To do that without quality would've been impossible.

I like to laugh at people who seem to think that Xbox owns the online gaming scene. For every Xbox Live gamer, there are 40 PC online gamers. For every two Xbox Live gamers, there is one PS2 online gamer. Microsoft just couldn't cut it this time around, since they're being dominated 5:1 in sales, and leading only by a factor of 2:1 in the online console world. Suckers.

XBOX isn't even a real console, it's a PIII PC in a console shell. I don't know if they have fixed the problem but in the beginning a lot of people complained that their XBOX would freeze or crash. Hmmm...

If you agree with Lancer then bash on Xbox, you're only being hypocritical and close-minded, something I don't usually see out of you DDW.

Xbox DOES have an online community advantage. Nevermind how Xbox sales are poorer. Heck, Xbox Live DOES do big, and started BIG.

RAREWARE joined MS, it's only a matter of time before perhaps DK comes in.
I seriously believe many here have serious close-minded issues about the console world.

I hate the terms closed-minded and open minded.
Who dictates what that means? Nowadays you're considered closed minded if you think oddly/badly about gays, little by little, it just keeps increasing (I have many more examples like this). Next thing you'll be considered closed minded if you think its wrong to kill masses of innocent people for no reason.

Open mindedness must have its limits.

Oh, this is just dany, now the xBox will lock up even more. I've had notting but toubble with every ATI card i've ever owned Visiontek or 'built by ati'. (can't really say much for nvidia because I only used visiontek's and not any others)
 
Oh, of course...any lockups on your computer just HAD to be the video card. It couldn't have been anything else at all. It couldn't have been old detonator drivers still installed on your computer, or a faulty power supply, or Windblows gayness...it just HAD to be the video card. Afterall, hundreds of thousands of people operate ATI video cards everyday without a problem so it just HAD to be the ATI video card. You're crazy...

I'm not bashing Xbox nor am I closed minded. Its just the truth. If you don't want to accept that, then thats your problem. Its true the PS2(maybe even gamecube) outsold XBOX worldwide. Its only in America where you see the majority of xbox being sold. Look at the Asian and European markets, I don't even think its two ps2 sold for every one xbox sold. Hell, they had to change the controller of the Xbox because it was to big for the average asian hand.

XBOX may be a very powerful gaming system, but it has some "issues" that cannot be fix unless they change the whole design. How many xbox overheating stories have you heard? Its more prone to over heating because people are used to leaving their consoles in corners, etc. With the xbox, which is basically a computer system, you cannot do that. Its also extremely heavy. Which makes transporting difficult. Xbox Next might a better system, but they seriously need to do something about the design.

The reason xbox offers better online gaming over a ps2 is because its closer to a PC than ps2 is. PCs rule the online gaming world, because it has advantages over a console system.

The console itself should be shaped like an X, that would be cool.

Also they need to market it using the term 'EXTREME' over and over. That really makes me want to buy it.

It was the vid card, becase BOTH (yes both) ATI vid cards i've ever owned don't turn on on cold boots. U gotta press the reset button inorder to get it to boot after power on.
 
I'm not defending Xbox nor even targetting you mainly, but am trying to understand how some here can even consider themselves console gamers, when all they do is bash on other consoles that aren't from their "favorite" company.

So GameCube isn't selling well, (not directed at you) so what?
Those who bash it have yet to see the great games it has. You're going to tell me Metroid Prime isn't worth your time? Think again!
Then we got the XBox. Look, let's face it, Xbox is for adults mainly. There's nary a game or two for people of 13-. It's made for action mainly, and trust me, it sells there the best. Its online capabilities work so well because indeed it has the easiest way of working and the generous offer of it being included in Xbox right from scratch makes it a boon. PS2 has never once been generous with its price. But does that make me hate PS2?

Why should I bash on Microsoft just because I hate them when everyone knows damn well they can come up with A class material?
IMO Windows XP is an ace OS, and I gladly even PAID for it. I don't do that normally.

But I digress. I am just finding all the time people who bash on MS and GC mainly, because they just Looooooooooove Sony so much. Then we got bloke-heads making PS3 to be the epitome of life, when you know just as I that games form the console. Square's shooting themselves by screwing the FF serie and making it MMORPG, now you just don't get the same "<b>ROLE</b> Playing Game" and the storyline is botched.

I'm excited about PS3 just like I am excited for XBox's next inception. Heck, any ATi fan should be happy he'll see ATi-powered material in there. I'm frankly surprised they don't praise GC as well (although we know ArtX made the GFX Engine not ATi) for that "ATi" sticker on the bottom right.
People who just bash it because the games don't appeal to them or because it's Microsoft, are idiots, pure close-minded idiots. If Matrox doesn't satisfy your needs, now it sucks?! What if it had another audience targetted? (the 2d editing community)

Just my opinion, and it's not directed at you in any way, at least not in general.

True, but its online capabilities make it easier to play with anyone on the other side, no need to transport it all the time. Plus there is an LCD add-on like PS and GC, you do need to transport it, but jesus, is a few more pounds too much for your poor shoulders?

No one, but bashing on other consoles except your favorite, IS close-mindedness. Whenever you don't give a chance to something, or just bash it relentlessly with little justification (except if the product has deceived you, has malfunctioned, and the company refused to exchange or fix it).
