Thanks hehe, great minds think alike, don't you think? Just saw your first post ^^

Shutter Island great psychological drama and fargo good also.Another good one was Kill the Irishman a true story.

I might just have to watch that.

Definitely Sin City! The second part was great, too. The new characters are cool but nothing is so great as the first movie.

A good movie different and suspenseful.

Pacific Rim is awesome! It's one of the best 3D movies that I've ever seen. I was so happy when the sequel got green lit.

Too many movies...

But two stand out...

Dead Alive by Peter Jackson. To this day, will never go to Sumatra as a result...LOL!!!!
Evil Dead by Sam Raimi. I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL! SWALLOW YOUR SOUL! SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!!!!

Update:

In addition to the previously listed titles:

Forbidden Planet
2001: A Space Odyssey
Stalag 17
The Great Escape
Where Eagles Dare
Midway
Tora Tora Tora
Run silent, run deep
Das Boot (German Version)
I can now add 2 more:

Lone Survivor
American Sniper

Whenever I'm feeling pretentious, I say it's 2001: A Space Odyssey. Kubrick really captured the depth and grandeur of space travel years before Star Wars or Interstellar. Also, there are some gorgeous shots in the film, and aesthetically speaking everything is framed beautifully.

When I'm not being a snob, it's Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I've seen that film more times than I can count, and it's freaking hilarious every time I watch it.

Movies:
The Great Escape, Sunshine (sci-fi fans should check this out), Godfather 1 & 2, and so many more I can't think of right now...

TV:
The Wire, Sopranos, Deadwood, Firefly, etc

Another great movie was Pappilion.

Mulan and How To Train Your Dragon (animated) The Conjuring (horror) Love, Rosie (romance) Think Like A Man (comedy) - all recent favorites
