Hi, I have a Logitech g27 that I use to race with and I have a blue yeti but when I record all I hear is loud noises that are caught from the wheel, is there a setting to not hear t and or a better mic to get?

Solution
There's a dial on the "back" of your blue yeti that has different types of audio pickups, go read the manual, it explaisn what they are and what they do, and experiment.

You shouldn't need a new mic, it's most likely you don't have your audio setup right. A boom arm will move the mic closer to your face, you'll the need to play with the audio settings somewhat because the pickup will be different.

You may just need software to cleanup/enhance your audio: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/microphone-cleanup-with-adobe-audition-and-vac.7/

Maybe set you headphones to listen to your mic, so you can hear a live feed of what it picks up and troubleshoot it from there.

Audio is a complicated business.
Uhh, are you sure you have the blue Yeti on the right audio pickup setting?
It has like 5 different ones, check the manual/the website.

It might also be the microphone is too close to the mic, and the sound from the wheel reaches it before your voice does.

If you record without touching the wheel can you hear your voice?

You might need a Mic arm, they aren't too expensive though: http://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Suspension-Scissor-Built-Female/dp/B00AK7SKL4

I tried a bo arm before but it sounded "boomy" when I used my keyboard and the mic is far away from the wheel, and I can hear myself but not very loudly. Are there certain settings I can use? Or do I need TK buy a new mic?

Ok so i figured out that the sound is only when it's on the desk, when i lift it up the sound goes away. Also randomly I get this weird buzzing that lasts about a second then goes away for a half second then comes back and i also get popping, is there a hardware issue with my mic, it just started happening

What's you desk made out of?

It sounds like it could be electromagnetic interference.

Is your computer on the desk or on the floor?

Is the floor carpeted?

Is your computer plugged into a surge protector or straight into the wall?

The desk is made out of wood, its a wrap around, that covers one wall with 2 sides at the end, there is another computer at the other end. Both computers are on the floor, no carpet except for a rug , and the computer is strait into the wall

Well, those are all potential problems, as they all conduct electricity and might be causing a problem.

Get the computers off the floor and onto a desk, and get surge protectors instead of plugging the computers into the wall.
