Question Z390 AORUS ELITE - No "Line In" sound after Realtek HD Audio Driver update

I recently upgraded the Realtek HD Audio driver from the Gigabyte website, most recent version [6.0.9225.1]

After the upgrade my Line In jack has no sound. When I roll the driver back the sound works again.

I have searched and can't see any other mentions of this problem.

I can live with an older driver(6.0.8703.1), but I'm curious as to what might be causing this.

Which windows version do you use? type winver in the search bar of windows and hit enter

I have discovered what the problem is. When the Realtek driver is upgraded, the option "Listen to this device" becomes deselected. It has to be selected again manually.
