GeForce RTX 3070
32GB (2x16) Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz

So I've been having a problem where my computer will randomly start slowing down and everything freezes up where I have to restart to regain functionality. I went into BIOS and noticed it was forcing my RAM to 2133 MHz. So I tried to set my XMP profile to run at 3200MHz. Immediately get BSOD for PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. Switch back to the 2133 and BSOD is gone.

So I looked up my BIOS version, it was on F6 which I read had vulnerabilities. Gigabyte app center sucks and wouldn't update it through the servers OR manually selecting a file to update from. SO I updated to F8a through the BIOS Q flash.

Does this seem like something that would be causing the freezing?

What ssd/hdd do you have?

ram speed shouldn't cause random slowdowns. can cause freezes but I would expect BSOD as well.

Try running memtest86 on each of your ram sticks, one stick at a time, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it

have you tried XMP now you have a newer BIOS?
