so now i know that when u need pc, daddy wont help, but what about other things?

well, I think im affortunate to say that I have a dad who works really hard to buy me the stuff I need ( including games, pc components, etc) because I know you are NOT the only one in this world...

When your dad gets old, are you gonna buy him cool old guy stuff?
 
Of course, what do you think I am? A kid who doesnt appreciate what his dad does for him?

Thats why I immigrated to the US, to get a better future, never worry about a career cuz once Im done with high school, im going to college for sure 😉
 
You guys should count yourself on the lucky side. I have to pay for my components like you. But I'm in the UK where everything is twice the price!

Kind of explains why my machine is a 4 year old Dell with a 2.8GHz Northwood P4. 1GB of RAM and *snort* a GeForce FX 5600XT.

Been saving up for a while now. Looking to get dual 8800GTXs :)
 
Wish my dad was that wealthy. Both mom and dad aren't passing the 35K a year. 🙁 Well most of time the most precious thing in our home is my PC :) Well that's life. At least i'm 19 so i don't use their money to enjoy my hobby. In my last build (which of course is vanished months before now) i spend about 2500 euros and my parents part was about 400.

You would think that you'd try to get an education and a job and learn to save and invest...rather than wasting cash on toys. :-\
 
I have a 6600gt right now, it it will be a very long time before I can afford a single 8800gtx, so stop complaining, if you think you have it bad, try getting a job when you are 14, almost no where will hire you because of your age!

I'd agree with this, 2500 euros is a hell of a lot of money, but if you think having a fast computer is worth it, I'm not complaining

2500 invested can become double that, given time.
 
Heh, Michigan = garage sales. Everyone is moving. Automakers here are caput. Oh and hey...anyone want to buy the green Zalman 9500? I'll beat any new price. It's unused and wouldn't fit in the build I wanted to use it in. Anyone?

I'll give you $3.50. Thats pretty much what a 9500 is worth if you can get a tuniq tower 120 or scythe infinity.

Cooling power isn't the only thing to consider when buying a cooler. Not everyone needs to ruin their CPU by OCing it into oblivion. I bought it to drop temps on an FX-55, since I bought it OEM. I wanted that particular one because it would've looked perfect in my windowed LAN case, only it was larger than I expected. 😛

There's a reason for this...
Bah, I worked my ass off to get my $600 this past summer, you can say that a lot of 14 years olds are lazy and they don't deserve to be hired anywhere, but you can't say that about me, if you have any idea how much effort I've put into getting my am2 build and only to find it destroyed in performance a few monthes later, you really can't say I don't work hard. I am hoping on buying a dell 2407 with a nice gfx card when the prices come down even more, but I don't think I will have that money for a long time, and its because people desciminate against my age and don't think I'm old enough to handle a job

Life is all about perspective. Look on the bright side...you aren't working your ass off to survive. Go thank your parental units for being there.

As for now, I cant complain, I have a good system and by the time I get out of college, OMG, Im gonna be like Jackpumkin or whatever its name is, Ill be getting xtreme edition processors, gbs of ram as they were bread from publix, motherboards of the top ones etc

I cant wait :)
 
Well let me tell you something.

First: That amd 4400+ 1800XT+ 2GB pc, was my BIGGEST mistake in all 19 and half years i live. It was just to F@@k me to death with 1900xtx and AM2 at about 7 days after my investment! :evil:

Second: Pc's are part of my life. I remember when i first got to my ''school'(i don't remember the correct word) 4 years ago to qualify as PC and Network Engineer. I could blew ALL of my teachers out of the water! Know why? Because i LOVE my future work and i was always Reading, Studying, playing and experiment with every little chance i had. From Super Nintedo to XBOX 360 to my next quad rig.

Three: I am completly calm and peacefull right now, i just hate when all of my surrounding parents, friends and other thing that computers are just a big toy for me.

GOD. Taco you know i like you big time and you were the first to help me around this cruel place! But PLEASE talk about that subject when you'll be at least 20 yo. Now a very short opinion in a very big subject: Don't mess your hobby and passion with the other half of your existence called women. I really don't mean your every day girlfriend which you all change in ~6 months. I speak for the woman that you'll choose to share your life with and grow old together. The feeling of having someone by your side and know that she will always be there for you, can't compare with some hours of fun stuck in pc screen. Oops, goodnight cause i've got to work tomorrow.

I dont date because im a fugly bastard, if i wasnt half Filipino i would be ghost white. The only light source in my room is my computer monitor, i hate the sun, i hate blue sky, the only time im happy to be outside is when its either: Overcast, raining, snowing, hailing, foggy as hell, ect.

If you make money with your research and it's more than a hobby, then congrats...but many computer people aren't A students...they're pot smokers who work at BK. :-\ Good for you if you don't have your head up your ass like so many of today's youth. Education and responsibility is where it's at. That's how you get the good life.

Agreed. If I could've concentrated on schoolwork instead of women, I'd be a lot wealthier now...God knows how much cash I blew and how many bad test scores I got because some pantyline was distracting me...date women when you're in your mid 20's. There's time then. Get your crap together first so you don't have to rely on anyone else.
 
very true, he's just kinda too overprotective sometimes, and needs to learn to be less cheap, not saying that in a selfish way, but when I try to get him to give people gifts, he always gets cheap stuff and always returns anything I get him so he can keep the money

Buy him useful gifts or learn that he's resourceful. I usually appreciate monetary gifts as well...I'd rather buy what I want, not what someone THINKS I want. I hate junk cluttering up my life. I'd rather have cash to go towards some cool big toy. 😛

Or he could lie dying in a car wreck and wish to God he'd gotten laid. :-D Besides, as for religion...if it's based on BELIEF and faith...then have faith you don't need religion...and believe that there is no hell or God. Either way, you're kind of doing the same thing right? Just gotta have faith.

Faith in what friend? That i am an evolved monkey that comes in this earth to feel, smell, see, hear, touch, love, hope all without a reason? No friend, i have no blind faith and certainly have a purpose in life. Did you ever walked in the smooth sand in a calm beach with the sun slowly disappearing in the horizon? Feel the warm wind all over your body while listening to you and your friend smiling and sharing moments of life.I cannot accept all this as a result of some accidental sonic boom in outer space. I believe there is god but our world turned his back on him First leading to the current miserable society. Actually i don't feel well talking about all this at least in this off topic forum! So change subject. Well about that Scythe... 😛
