Hey, I got a Zalman reserator 3 MAX the other day but everytime I plug in the CPU block it makes this really loud clicky noise and I dont know what it is. Any suggestions?

Try lifting the Pc whilst running and rotate as much as possible, might be a loose object caught up, might be an air bubble in the 'wrong' place, if a little manipulation doesnt sort it then contact the manf for an rma 🙂

Thats for the solution ill have to play with it next time i turn my PC off. And i also bought it second hand.(regretable now)

i have rotating the cooler for about 5 minutes and the "click" is very irregular changing speed of "click" and vibration and changing noises/sounds, it never went away. i had it running for a little longer afterwards and the cold plate was warm to the touch. And it made me think its not pumping water at all.

I'd go for theres something interfering with the impeller then, the block assenbly will get warm in use as its next to the Cpu and has a running pump in it but I'd contact the Zalman, explain your issue to customer services and see if they will kindly replace/repair for you, if you are nice and pleasant they should perform it either free or for postage costs, and remember to say thank you hehe

Thanks for the advice ill email zalman support later. And i was running the cooler out of the computer, i wanted to know the problem before using it :)

Yes the liquid will come out so best to split the loop over a sink or bath, and if you buy a small Tee junction from a plumbers store then you will be able to refill it and once you block that line off you will be able to use it, assuming you find and fix the clicking problem of course 🙂
google T lines to see what I mean
