Hello Every one i m really worried with the performance of my zotac 1070 pls help me. My pc specs are these
Gigabyte Hb7-HD3 mobo
i5 4570
8gb Ram 1600mhz
Zotac 1070 emp edition
Corsair RmX 750watt psu
The issue is i m getting sudden fps drops in every game from bf1 to bo3 and even on csgo i play on 1440 × 900 Resolution and in csgo i get fps like 290 and then after some sec it drops to 150, 170, 220 like that and all that happens only for a split sec and some times i feel a lag too.Guyz pls tell me whats the issue 🙁

bro csgo is not a high demanding game yes u can say for bo3 and bf1 but in csgo i have this issue i decided to install old drivers but still same issue. in some games like gta v my gpu usage is 60 percent but i get fps 60 or 65 consider the fact that i m doing gaming on 1440 × 900 Resolution.

Your CSGO is only going to use a tiny fraction of the power of your GTX 1070. Especially at that tiny resolution. You really went way overkill for your resolution, especially playing CSGO. Any problems you have with dips is almost squarely on the CPU. When dealing with such high FPS, you will run into drops like that when heavy CPU tasks happen. As suggested, check CPU temps, but I have a feeling nothing is wrong, and that is standard fair.

is this a ram issue ? as in bf1 it was taking over 6 and half gb of ram out of 8 but still it is happening in every game and that lag for a sec i can feel that 🙁

my cpu usage depends on which game i m playing but RL and csgo can be perfectly played on this rig but i got fps drops in these games too and my cpu temp is 60 to 62 max in extreme cases and same for gpu

bro yes that is what i m saying i m playing on low reosultion but still fps drops and i can feel the lag. u can say lag spike for a sec and in that sec my fps drops. i m really worried as i bought card last month 🙁

broo in csgo it should not drop fps i m playing on freaking 1070 and it continually drops from 290 to 150. my previous card was giving me constant 250 on csgo but not 150 🙁

Your FPS drops are down to 150 FPS. That is normal when you are bound by your CPU. This problem has absolutely nothing to do with your GPU. Your GPU could probably play 4 games at once and hold those FPS, but in games like CSGO, your CPU is the determining factor, and there are times when the CPU cannot keep feeding the GPU fast enough for what is happening on screen. Online issues can sometimes cause issues too.

You need to provide more specific examples. Your CSGO example is somewhat normal. I don't know about those other games, as you did not provide any info.

What is true is that your GPU power for your resolution will put all the stress on your CPU, which isn't a bad CPU. It's possible you are having larger than normal drops if your PSU is struggling, but that's about the only other thought on it I have.

Sounds like a mix of your CPU and your RAM, none of those games would be taxing on the 1070 at the resolution you're playing at. Not really sure why you'd be dipping like that in CSGO, but it's a CPU heavy game, so it's more than likely tied to your CPU. Your BF1 problem sounds like a low ram issue to me if you're using 6 gigs.

My recommendation is a new processor and 16 gigs of ram if you can afford it. If not, you could just grab a 16 gig kit of ram.

Bro i m waiting for 7th gen as i have played csgo on amd r9 270x and my fps never goes below 250 but with 1070 it goes below 150 wtf 🙁

Nvidia has a feature in their control panel to conserve energy. Perhaps it is reading that you have 150 FPS, and drops the clocks really low to save energy. Go into the control panel and set the Power management mode to performance. In Windows, check their Power Management settings, and set that to balanced or performance if you see the CPU clocks are dropping.

i also think the drops might caused by CPU bottleneck. there probably a situation where the cpu suddenly choke and cannot keep up with gpu causing FPS drops. for system with more balance cpu and gpu this will not happen. i still remember when i first have my bottleneck with gpu. in more gpu intensive games i can see performance increase just fine like Crysis. but in less demanding games i was getting lower frame rates. the solution is pretty simple back then: overclock the CPU. this is when intel did not do any overclocking restriction with their cpu.

try doing what bystander has been suggesting. in nvidia control panel go to 3d setting and then go to power management tab. instead of adaptive try setting it to maximum performance which will force the gpu to run at full speed regardless the game being demanding or not.

Broo i re install my windows 10 and done every possible step that i know like updating my drivera and then clean install of old driver's ever fucking thing that i can do but still same iasue. Today i was playing csgo and it seems fine but after sometime i get lag and i can feel dat lag like massive fps cause that lag dont know what to do. cpu is not dat bad but still

your cpu is quite modern that's true but you also try to pump massive frame rates. worse you're playing on such low resolution that it will burden CPU even more. why nvidia no longer supporting 3 or 4 way SLI? one of the primary reason was there almost no CPU to date than can keep up with such setup anymore. i even heard that some recent intel CPU cannot keep up with a single 1080 or 1070. your issue probably stem from imbalance system more than stuff like driver issue.

i also have 8gb ram what u think ram is the issue i will buy 1 8gb stick soon :)
