Hi guys,
Today i just upgraded from a NVIDIA GT-710 to an RTX-2060 graphics card. I knew that the GPU inside was a TU106 GPU and only the EVGA RTX 2060 KO edition GPU s were shipped with the TU104 GPU, but quite surprisingly the Zotac gaming one came with a TU104 GPU with die size of 545 mm2 as opposed to the smaller 445m2 in the original one and also more transistors than the original too.
The GPU was manufactured in March 2020 so it is a case with all the recently manufactured RTX 2060 GPU s that they come with the TU104 instead of the TU106 ?
If yes then this is an increased bonus to the ones purchasing these new GPU s. I know that in gaming the benefits are none but in some productivity tasks it does much better.
So let me know guys if anyone else apart from EVGA KO and now Zotac are getting the TU104 version too.
Thanks guys.
