Zotac GTX 970 ZT-90101-10P versus Gigabyte R9 290 windforce

i had a r9 290 which get too much heated, as i live in uae the ambient temp is above 30-35 degree so i wanted to know that should i buy that 290 or this cute little 970 ? which I've heard stays cool?
and also im having a amd fx 8320, so is there going to be any problem with that ? i want to play all the new games like gta 5 on ultra.

The FX8320 uses a lot of energy. The 970 uses about 150W, the 290 is closer to 300W. All those W end up as heat. I'd go for the lower power. Heat is the enemy of silicon chips and capacitors, the higher the temperature, the shorter their life.
